Setup & Troubleshooting Guide
Set up your Mini Pickleball Net in about 60 seconds—no tools required. Watch the setup video first, then use this guide if you need help.
Before You Start
- Choose a flat, clear surface with enough room to unfold the frame.
- Remove the frame, net, and carry bag from the package.
- Allow the connected pole sections to straighten naturally.
- Keep the net folded until the base frame is assembled and standing upright.
- For outdoor play, check the wind and use ground-level weights when extra stability is needed.
Quick Setup
Unfold the first side
Open the folded base and connect each pole joint straight and fully. Do not force a joint at an angle.
Connect the center
Insert the long base tube completely into the center plastic connector. There should be no gap at the joint.
Complete the base
Repeat on the opposite side, open both feet fully, and stand the frame upright on a flat surface.
Find the top of the net
The top edge has an elastic loop at each corner. Make sure the sleeves are untwisted and the logos face outward.
Install the first side
Remove the upper upright section if needed, slide the net sleeve over the pole, reconnect the upper section, and raise the upright.
Install the second side
Repeat on the opposite upright while keeping the net fabric centered and untwisted.
Secure the top corners
Attach both top elastic loops to the hooks at the top of the upright poles.
Check before play
Confirm that every joint is fully seated, both feet are flat, both sleeves are straight, and both top loops are attached.
Final Setup Checklist
- All pole joints are fully seated.
- The center connector is fully engaged.
- Both feet are completely open and flat.
- The side sleeves are straight and fully pulled down.
- The top elastic loops are attached to both hooks.
- The net is centered and is not wrapped around either pole.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does setup take?
Once you are familiar with the frame, setup takes about 60 seconds. The connected pole system keeps the sections together, and no tools are required.
Do I need tools?
No. The frame and net are designed for tool-free assembly.
Are the loose-looking pole sections broken?
Usually, no. The pole sections are connected by an internal bungee cord so they can fold compactly. Straighten the sections and guide each joint into place until fully seated.
Which edge of the net goes on top?
The top edge has an elastic loop at each corner. Slide the side sleeves over the uprights with the looped edge at the top, then attach both loops to the top hooks.
Why is the net lower in the center?
This is intentional. The net is designed to be approximately 36 inches high at the posts and 34 inches at the center. Do not add extra tension cords to make the top band perfectly level.
Can I use the net outdoors?
Yes. Use it on a flat surface and check the wind before play. Add sandbags or suitable ground-level weights over the base feet when extra stability is needed. Do not hang weights from the net, top band, or upright hooks.
Can I leave the net outside?
For longer product life, take the net down after use and store it clean and dry. Do not store a wet net or wet frame inside the closed carry bag.
Troubleshooting
The frame will not stand straight
- Open both base feet completely.
- Push every pole joint together fully.
- Seat the long base tube fully in the center connector.
- Move the frame to a flat surface.
- Check that the net is not twisted around an upright.
A pole joint will not connect
Align the sections in a straight line and let the internal cord guide them together. Check for folded fabric, dirt, or another obstruction. Do not hammer the joint or force it at an angle.
The base tube will not enter the center connector
Lay the frame flat and remove pressure from the opposite side. Align the tube directly with the open socket and push it in fully. Do not twist the frame while the tube is only partially inserted.
The net looks upside down or twisted
Remove the net from one upright. Locate the edge with the two elastic corner loops, untwist the fabric, position the logo panels outward, and reinstall the sleeve.
The net sleeve is difficult to slide over the pole
Remove the upper upright section first. Open the fabric sleeve and feed it gradually over the pole. Keep the pole aligned with the sleeve. Do not use a sharp tool or lubricant.
The elastic loop will not reach the hook
Confirm that the upright sections are fully connected, the sleeve is completely in position, the net is centered, and the opposite side is not twisted. Do not overstretch the loop or use tools to pull it.
The net looks loose or sags
Re-seat all frame joints, straighten both sleeves, attach both top loops, and center the fabric evenly. A slight dip toward the center is normal.
The net fabric slides up the poles
Pull both side sleeves back down, remove any twist, check both top loops, and re-center the net before play.
The net moves or tips in the wind
Move to a flatter, more sheltered location and place suitable weights over both ground-level base feet. Stop play during strong winds or unsafe weather.
The frame folds while I move it
Lift the assembled net from the base with two hands. Do not lift or drag it by the net, top band, or one upright pole.
The internal cord is broken
Stop assembly. Do not tie, cut, or replace the cord with improvised material. Take a photo of the affected pole section and contact PIKKOFUN Support with your Amazon order number.
The carry bag or another component is missing
Check the shipping box and packing material. If a listed component is missing, contact PIKKOFUN Support with your Amazon order number, net size/color, and a photo of everything received.
The net will not fit back into the carry bag
- Remove and fold the net separately.
- Lower and fold the center frame section.
- Guide the tubes into the foam retainers.
- Fold the remaining side last.
- Place the frame in the bag first, followed by the folded net.
Do not force the zipper over a protruding pole end.
Care & Storage
- Wipe the frame with a soft, damp cloth.
- Dry the frame and net completely before storage.
- Keep dirt and sand out of the joints and center connector.
- Do not use sharp tools, bleach, or harsh cleaners.
- Store the folded net and frame inside the carry bag in a dry location.
- Inspect the cord, loops, hooks, joints, and fabric before each use.
